Guitars from Liberty Wood - June 10, 2000
Taylor Guitars, a California based guitar manufacturer, will be producing 234 limited-edition guitars from Liberty Wood - one guitar for each year that the historic tulip poplar was considered a Liberty Tree.  While the design details are not final at this time, it is expected that the guitars will be ready for purchase within two years.  

Liberty Wood at Earth Day - April 22, 2000
Items made from the wood of the Liberty Tree will be for sale at the Earth Day Festivities at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis.  Products featured will include plaques, pens, and limited edition prints on paper made from Liberty Tree mulch by the Wood Science and Paper Making Division of North Carolina State University.  This event will be held on Saturday, April 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m..
